Wait… you don't know Matt Cutts?

There isn’t a man who speaks more for, or at least about Google then Matt Cutts. According to Wikipedia:

Hosted on Flickr -> http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=306827240&size=sMatt Cutts works for the quality group in Google, specializing in search engine optimization issues.[1] He is well known in the SEO community for enforcing the Google Webmaster Guidelines and cracking down on link spam.[2]

And according to his blog, he doesn’t speak for Google per say, but. .. well I like how he put it so:

I’m one of several Googlers who answer questions online and sometimes for the press. I usually handle questions about webmasters or SEO, so in those areas I’m more likely to make sense and less likely to say something stupid. If I post something here that you find helpful as you build or manage your web presence, that’s wonderful. But when push comes to shove: This is my personal blog. The views expressed on these pages are mine alone and not those of my employer.

Now for WordCamp he’s going to be talking about Whitehat SEO tips for Bloggers. Which strikes me as talking about common sense. But knowing how Google works like he does… and being involved in how the search engine actually works I know I’ll be hanging on his words. You aren’t supposed to rely on a single source for incoming, but I know from practice ofver the last couple years, that Google brings in almost 50% of my traffic to sites at times. So whatever can be learned will be important.
