Who is Mark Jaquith?

The man who has been heading up the releases since WordPress 2.0 has been programmer extraordinaire and attendee 185, Mark Jaquith. Last year saw him speaking in a couple different presentations, most importantly High Performance WordPress . This year it looks like he’ll be rallying people in Getting Involved with WordPress on Saturday and then be the favored heavyweight in the Developer Duke-out.
A newlywed, Mark has done an amazing job balancing; keeping his new wife happy, and the demands of some quick programming, testing and fast releases. Plus he’s been good to idle in #wordpress at times to give advice to plug-in authors, working with the multiple contributors and still occasionally helping the lost person who’s new to WordPress needs help. An also Mark has had to wear a new hat fairly recently as the WordPress Ninja at b5media. So though he’s been busy it looks like he’s treating WordCamp as a chance to introduce his new wife, and enjoy the area. Be sure to ask where his better half is when you see him.
